Privacy notice
Last updated August 2026
This notice explains what happens to personal information you provide through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who is responsible
Olufunke Ige Limited (company number 15477300), registered at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, is the data controller for information submitted through this site.
This site concerns Liz Ige’s professional speaking and consulting work. It is separate from her role as an elected councillor. If you are a Woolwich Common resident with a council matter, please contact her through the Royal Borough of Greenwich, not through this site. Council correspondence is handled by the council, under its own privacy notice.
What is collected
Only what you type into the speaking enquiry form, which is your name, your organisation, your email address, and whatever details you choose to give about your event: its name, date, location or format, audience size, preferred topic, budget range, and any further notes.
There is no account to create, no newsletter, no profiling, and no tracking of how you move around the site.
Why, and on what legal basis
Your information is used for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR. The interest is responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to send, which is what you would expect to happen when you send it.
Your details are not used for marketing, are not added to any mailing list, and are never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers process the data on our instructions, and only to make the site and the email work:
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and processes the form submission in transit.
- Resend delivers the enquiry to us by email.
- Sanity stores the site’s own content, such as talk descriptions and images. It does not receive enquiries.
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, which means your IP address reaches those providers when a page loads. Self-hosting the font files removes this entirely and is planned.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, so that a conversation picked up months later still has its context, then deleted. If an enquiry becomes a booking, the records that go with that booking are kept for six years to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data held about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- ask that processing be restricted
- object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests
- ask for your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email hello@elizabethige.co.uk. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please raise it with us first at hello@elizabethige.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and enquiries are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send anything confidential or sensitive through the form. If your enquiry involves something sensitive, say so briefly and we will arrange a better channel.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people who have already sent an enquiry will be notified by email.
